How long does it take?
Two to four months on average. Well-documented urban cemeteries — sometimes 2–4 weeks. Old village cemeteries and 1920s–40s burials are the toughest — up to six months.
What about military burials?
Separate workflow — TsAMO, the Memorial database, Memory of the People, regional military commissariats. Often we resolve burials missing for decades.
What's included in the deliverable?
Exact coordinates, plot/row number, photo of the headstone (if extant), copies of archival certificates, directions for visiting.
