FAQ

Common questions

What records can you find?

Conscription papers, unit assignments, service movements, citations and awards, wounding and decoration registers, POW records, and burial location. We work with TsAMO, the Memorial database, Trophy Funds and partisan-movement archives.

What if my relative was missing in action?

About 40% of missing-in-action cases are resolvable. We compare unit losses, locale-of-last-letter records and post-war reburial lists. Many burials have been verified within the last decade.

Do you cover Civil War, WWI or Soviet-era service?

Yes. WWI in RGVIA, Civil War in RGVA and regional archives, Soviet-era service in TsAMO and regional military commissariat archives.
